About Us

Island Paws was created by two girls, two dogs, and one very old calico cat. When the five of us moved to Sanibel in 2003 we had no idea that a store for our 4-legged furry friends was in our future. But, we soon realized that there was no place near by where our pets could get all natural foods, shop for delicious treats, or experience the newest and most unique toys. So Island Paws was born.

We opened our doors in October 2004 and continue to provide the finest pet products and supplies for your best friend. Island Paws offers quality health and nutrition, gourmet treats, and unique gifts.

Our Philosophy

It is our pleasure to be able to share our love of pets with so many people. We believe that pets are a part of the family. They deserve our love and understanding, and a scratch on the belly whenever time allows!
